Hyperthreading Making Servers Hyperslow?

According to an article over at c|net’s News.com, it seems this hyperthreading technology on Intel’s servers is killing performance.
Apparently, the logical processors share L1 and L2 cache. This means some big problems. Haven’t heard of anything similar with the Opterons. Mmm… I sense rising AMD shares… again.
