Oh so totally true
Nothing like a good rant about the inability of companies to keep track of their own data, particularly when they sell data services.
In addition to Qwest not being about to keep track of numbers on their site, so many others fail as well.
Of course, names in a phone book don’t mean anything. My name is listed in Pennsylvania (check it out, I’m the only one), but I don’t live there. I haven’t lived at that address for years. My parents have it, and they’re not required to change the listing name. (Which makes it so much fun when they assessed me occupation tax for ‘living’ there while I was a registered resident of Finland.)
Some day, when I’m rich, I’ll totally have a number listed as something like Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, or similar.
The tracking of people is so bad, that I still have collection agents calling this house to find the guy. I’ve had the same number for well over a year, moved the number here, and yet they are doing an address search to get the number.
